I love hummus and how creamy and satisfying it is. There is not a flavor I have tried that I did not love!
Traditional hummus has roughly 70 calories per serving and 5 grams of fat. Imagine my delight to find carrot hummus! Carrot hummus has 50 calories per serving and only 2.5 grams of fat.
This had a great combination of slightly sweet & savory flavor. Plus it packs a little heat with the sriracha, along with a crunch from the sunflower seed topping.
There are many options for what to dip in this hummus. The best and most low calorie option is sweet peppers. I have found these awesome mini sweet peppers at Harris Teeter. They keep very well in the fridge for about a week and are usually cheaper than buying the larger red, yellow and orange bell peppers.
Another option if you are looking for a little more substantial snack are pretzel thins. I found these a few months ago and love them. You can eat 11 pretzels for 110 calories.
If you are adventurous like I am, try the black bean ,beet or edamame hummus as well! Hope that you enjoy this as much as I did!
