High Protein Trail Mix

I have been looking for a high protein snack that was easy to prepare and did not need to be refrigerated. I stumbled across a recipe online for a trail mix and tweaked it a little bit to suit the tastes of our family.

The salty/sweet/crunchy combination of this trail mix provides a great fix for those afternoon or evening sugar cravings. It is also a great option if you need some extra protein in your diet.

I tried this recipe out on my husband who works out 2 times a day and 2 picky co-workers. They all really liked it. One co-worker  did not like the dried cranberries but those can easily be substituted for raisins or omitted completely.

I have to be honest…there were measurements for the recipe but I kinda just dumped everything together in a bowl and mixed it all together. To me, those are the best recipes…the ones that you can’t mess up! It turned out great! Hope that you enjoy!
